Helga Wild, Water Cooler Logic Co-Founder
Ph.D. Psychology

The combination of qualitative research and systemic design is at the core of my research and consulting work. My goal is to capture the emerging order of individual and social activities that arises from the interaction of constraints and freedom whenever people set out to accomplish a given task. This research has guided the development of workplaces in the past. It lends itself as well to the design of organizational processes and policies.

I am one of the co-founders of the Austrian Society for Psychology of Architecture. (www.architekturpsychologie.at)

My university training focused on experimental research and quantitative methods. After my Ph. D. I did postdoctoral work in Systems Theory at the University of Linz, Austria. I received a Schroedinger Fellowship, the approximate equivalent of a Guggenheim. I worked for several years doing experimental research at the Neuropsychology Lab at Stanford University, and later as Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University and the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center ( P.A.R.C.).
