Principals and Founders Chris Darrouzet, Ph.D. in anthropology, and Helga Wild, Ph.D. in psychology founded Water Cooler Logic Inc in 2002. The concepts and methods of Water Cooler Logic stem from their eight years of working together as research scientists and consulting action researchers at the former Institute for Research on Learning (ILR). In recent years Chris and Helga have worked together with a handful of other colleagues — affiliates of WCL Inc. and staff researchers at the Department of Veterans Affairs — to develop the practice, process, concepts and spirits behind this innovative approach to helping staff at all levels work more effectively and satisfyingly in large-scale, complex organizations.
